The estimated nr of carshare vehicles is currently 450. Estimated nr of users 6,000. The increase is steadily on 30 percent per year over the last decade.

The number of operations can be construed in different ways from 8 to 13. There is carsharing available in the following nine cities: Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Bærum, Drammen, Kragerø, Tromsø. My company Bilkollektivet operates in Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger and Tromsø. There are four competitors in Oslo. Two of them, Moveabout and Smartbilpool, operate carsharing in Oslo and Bærum.

There were 3,060,709 registered driver’s licences in the country.

Per 1. January 2010 there was 93,347 km of public roads in the country.
